Below are the resolutions from our 1st National Assembly of ¡Ya Basta!, the Anticapitalist Youth.
In a world on fire and an Argentina in deep, structural crisis, with a libertarian government that could end in social upheaval and a Peronism in profound crisis with no solution for the country, we held this first national assembly to build the Anticapitalist Youth across the country. The youth that makes the Adornis and the Mileis tremble, and that fights for a real solution for the country: a government of those who have never governed before, the workers and the left, within a truly socialist perspective.
With the perspective of bringing these resolutions to every corner of our country, to the entire student movement and working youth of Argentina from Tierra del Fuego to Jujuy, and sending our solidarity to comrades in the U.S., France, Costa Rica, and Brazil, saluting all the peoples of the world who are fighting, like the heroic Palestinian people, migrant communities resisting Trump’s deportations, the popular uprising in Los Angeles and other parts of the United States, and the new working class rising up around the globe, and preparing ourselves for the university struggle ahead in Argentina with the lessons from last year’s student uprising, in which we were proud to be the first national group to lead it, and with the position of taking to the streets against the proscription of Cristina Kirchner, demanding that she not submit to the “justice” system and instead challenge the rules of a regime that bans a portion of the electorate, we hereby vote on the following resolutions as the ¡Ya Basta! plan of action for the coming period.
- Approve the National Declaration of ¡Ya Basta! at its First National Assembly.
- Publish a National Bulletin of the Anticapitalist Youth of ¡Ya Basta! to be distributed nationwide, containing the national declaration, the resolutions, the conclusions of the commissions, and an “Anticapitalist Manifesto for the University” within the next few weeks.
- Build an anticapitalist program for the University, based on defending public, secular, and free university education, and promoting an anticapitalist university: serving workers and youth. More than ever, we affirm that the university is not an island: Long live worker-student unity! Long live the Cordobazo and May ’68!
- We push for the democratization of the university. Defense of student centers independent from authorities and governments. We promote the assembly method and independent student organization. Democratization of the university’s governing bodies: student majority, unified faculty assembly, voice and vote for non-teaching staff! Direct election of all authorities with a student majority!
- Participate independently in the upcoming National Education March, promoting grassroots organization and radicalization of measures, without trusting the National Interuniversity Council or the bureaucratic leadership of unions, student centers, and federations. No trust in Congress.
- ¡Ya Basta! supports the struggle for the recognition of SiTraRepA as the national union of delivery workers, the fight for the demands and independent organization of non-teaching staff, health workers, and residents currently fighting, and the demands of workers and retirees across the country. Long live worker-student unity!
- Expand ¡Ya Basta! across the country with the goal of establishing ourselves in more than 150 study centers. Strengthen our involvement in the working youth, as we have been doing through Precarious Young Workers by building SiTraRepA and other sectors. Let’s make ¡Ya Basta! the leading anticapitalist left force among Argentina’s youth!
- Launch a national democratic campaign against intelligence services in our study spaces. Get SIDE out of UNA Audiovisuales! Down with the complicity with intelligence services and provocateurs in the university!
- Multiply initiatives defending independent, transformative art and resisting the commercialization of art and culture. For art and culture that drive social transformation!
- We declare ourselves on alert and mobilization against any misogynistic or reactionary attack on our movement. Participate through ¡Ya Basta! and Las Rojas in the upcoming Plurinational Meeting of Women, Lesbians, Trans, Travestis, Bisexuals, and Non-Binaries in Corrientes, and in the upcoming Pride March this November.
- Call for the 2nd National Assembly of ¡Ya Basta! in the first half of 2026. Let’s build a ¡Ya Basta! of thousands in all universities, technical colleges, pre-university schools, and high schools across the country!
- Establish monthly assemblies in pre-university and high schools, promoting a Tinta Roja and ¡Ya Basta! Bulletin.
- Call for our 6th Anticapitalist Camp in February 2026, inviting our comrades from the International Current Socialism or Barbarism and representatives of the main ongoing struggles worldwide, such as delivery workers and migrants in the United States, university youth fighting in Cuba, and Palestinian youth, among others.
- Promote, for the second half of 2025, a National Day of Struggle in defense of Public University organized by ¡Ya Basta!, raising the demands contained in our political declaration and Anticapitalist Manifesto for the University, while inviting other forces to join.
- Establish Marxist and Anticapitalist Free Chairs in the main faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts across the country.
- Send a delegation from this Assembly to Los Angeles to show our solidarity with the migrant people in the United States who are fighting against Donald Trump’s racist deportation policies, and to continue strengthening ties with the organizing process of precarious working youth and to organize the 2nd International Congress of Platform Workers.
- Send all our support to the struggles of youth around the world.
Unconditional solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian people! No to the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank!
All our support to the fight of workers and migrants in the U.S. who face Trump’s deportation and repression policies.
All our support to the historic struggle of Cuban university students against the bureaucratic regime’s price hikes! Down with the U.S. imperialist blockade. The only solution for Cuba is to overthrow the Castro regime from the left by establishing a genuine workers’ state on the island. - Create a national dissemination channel for ¡Ya Basta! to share our activities through social media and give momentum to our initiatives.
